Sultan, the Tibetan kitchen boy was at crampon point with juice. He got my rucksack from there on his own. Have been coughing in spells, but heavily. Parched lips.

The Korean leader came over – his plans match with that of ours. Practised fitting the regulator and wearing the oxygen mask. Breathing oxygen for the trial time was a pleasure.

Took Nitin’s crampon as Bala Sir’s seem twisted. Cdr Dam took ‘Taj’ and finished it before dinner. Appetite is decreasing – hardly had anything for lunch. Got to know election results partly. Govinda and Dharmendra has won !

The Chinese camp at Changse base had also folded up so our hope of getting water there has also died. Reached ABC by 1300hrs. The Sherpas had left for C1 to ferry O2 cylinders to higher camps tomorrow.
