Some new tents have come up. The water level in streams have increased. Throat bad, cough even worse. Had lunch enroute. Pande and Bala Sir came to receive us a short way up.

Weather has been bad, snowfall in ABC. Kankan Sir also moved down from Camp 2 with Tenzing Sherpa.Joseba ( Basque, Spain) dropped by to tell us that Kankan Sir would be coming in a few minutes.

Sultan, the Tibetan kitchen boy was at crampon point with juice. He got my rucksack from there on his own. Have been coughing in spells, but heavily. Parched lips.

The climb on rocks without crampons was also difficult. Sun caught up with me at the ice patch. She told me she was not well. I offered Oxygen and she refused. Met the Korean leader just on the stretch.

Cdr Dam, Ang Tashi and I are in one tent. Kankan Sir, Tenzing and Chedar slept in the other.Used canned Oxygen for the first time.

Kankan Sir and I left an hour later. The sherpas were to follow another hour later. Reached C1 by 1600 hrs.
