Colder than Zhangmu as expected. Put up at Hotel Snowland, owned by Tashi. Small hotel but has internet connection! Call to India varies from 10 yuan to 20 yuan per minute. A hot water bath costs 10 Y ( 1 Y is approx Rs 7 INR ).

Took an hour to transfer our luggage into a Chinese truck.We were transported to our hotel at by 1730 hours ( Chinese time is 2.5 hrs ahead of IST ). A 2 – star hotel by Chinese Standards.

Last briefing for the trip ahead by Dawa Steven Sherpa, Asian Trekking. Changed INR into NC and futhur into Chinese Yuan. Rates varied according to the whims of the money changers.

Lazed around in the cabin till noon. Asian Trekking sent a vehicle for us to go around Kathmandu.

Went to Swayambhunath Stupa. Went to a place to find out about Ayurvedic Massage, looked more like a seedy joint for sexual satisfaction.

Caught an Indian Airlines to Kathmandu. Reached at 1515 hrs (IST), which is 1530 hrs Nepali time.
